The EUIPO Study titled “Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in the EU: Results at the EU Borders and the EU Internal Market in 2021” is now available on the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s website, featuring data from the authorities involved in the enforcement of counterfeit product seizures at the borders.
The Study was conducted based on data from seizures reported by Customs Authorities in 26 EU member states.
The product subcategories most frequently appearing in seizures were common consumer goods, such as clothing and footwear, including both sports and non-sports shoes, as well as luxury products (bags, wallets, perfumes, cosmetics, and wristwatches).
