We would like to inform you that the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has created a training program on Trademarks and Designs, aimed at IP professionals from the legal field (“ETMD EP”) and has issued a call for expression of interest to participate in it.
The ETMD EP is designed to provide comprehensive training to Intellectual Property professionals, enabling them to better support EU businesses and strengthen the trademark and design registration systems managed by EUIPO.
For the 2023-2024 period, EUIPO offers two directions:
- ETMD EP for Legal Service Assistants
- ETMD EP for Legal Professionals in the IP Field
Interested parties can apply to participate either in the full training program on Trademarks & Designs or individually, i.e., only for the training package on Trademarks or only for the training package on Designs.
Timeline:
The Program is expected to start after the summer holidays.
Application period: June 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023
Start of the Training Program: October 5, 2023
Final exams: June 14, 2024
These training programs are specifically tailored for participants from private companies or law firms. Each program, created and delivered by EUIPO staff members and leading IP professionals, focuses on collaboration and interaction between EUIPO and IP professionals or legal advisors in the fields of trademarks and designs.
