Informative Event titled “Key Issues & Challenges for the Protection of Research Results through Patents” in the amphitheatre of the Pasteur Institute.
The PRAXI Network, a unit of the foundation for research and technology and coordinator of the GnΩsi : Technology Transfer Network, in collaboration with OBI-Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation, the Hellenic Industrial Property Academy and the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, is co-organising an informative seminar titled “Key Issues & Challenges for the Protection of Research Results through Patents” on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 09:00, in the amphitheatre of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute.
The goal of the event is to inform the Greek Research, Technology, and Innovation Ecosystem about the crucial role of patents in the modern competitive business environment.
The topics to be covered include:
- Challenges for the Greek intellectual property ecosystem
- Unified Patent Court
- Strategy for protecting research results
- Evaluation and assessment of patents
- Training patent consultants
- Funding for the protection and commercialization of research results
The Hellenic Industrial Property Academy (HIPA) will be represented by speeches from its Executive Director, Mr. Tasos Thomopoulos, and Ms. Iliana Kosti, Lawyer, LLM, PhD candidate in Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence at the University of the Aegean, Deputy Member of the Board of Directors of HIPA. Representing the Industrial Property Organization, Dr. Kyriaki Glinou, Chemist, and Ms. Maria-Christina Andrikopoulou, Chemist, Examiners at the Industrial Property Organization, Department of Chemical and Biotechnological Inventions, will deliver presentations.
