Informative Event in Kozani: O.B.I. Successfully Informed the Academic and Business Community of the Region

We would like to inform you that the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (O.B.I) and the Region of Western Macedonia successfully organised an informative event titled “The Protection of Industrial Property as a Growth Lever for Businesses” in Kozani.

The event took place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the “Koventareio” Municipal Library of Kozani, with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of Industrial Property in the development of businesses, as well as the added value it provides to companies and products.

The event was honored with the presence and greetings of Mr. Lysandros Metaxas, Deputy Regional Governor for Administration, Economics, and Legal Entities of the Region of Western Macedonia, Mr. Ioannis Katsogiannis, President of the Hellenic Industrial Property Academy (H.I.P.A), Board Member of O.B.I. and Associate Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Yiannis Mitliagas, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kozani, Mr. Achilleas Kagioglou, Vice President of the Kozani Bar Association, and Mr. Yiannis Ioannidis, Deputy Mayor of Culture, Sports & Library.

The audience, consisting of members of the academic and business communities from the wider region, had the unique opportunity to learn about the protection titles offered to the public by O.B.I. Dr. Giorgos Asimopoulos, Head of the O.B.I. Regional Office in Thessaloniki, made a specialized presentation on the protection of inventions with Patents, followed by a presentation by Ms. Matina Chrysochoidou, Director of Trademarks at O.B.I., titled “The Protection of Trademarks in Greece”.

At the end of the event, a discussion followed, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and gather more information about the benefits of industrial property protection.
