The WIPO Awards recognize outstanding startups, SMEs, and university spin-offs that use intellectual property (IP) to promote economic development with a social impact around the world.
The WIPO Inventors and Creators Award, launched in 2022, aims to encourage the commercialization of IP assets by rewarding inventors, creators, and entrepreneurs who use IP rights to achieve their business goals, generate income, create jobs, address local and global challenges, and support community and national development.
Who can apply?
WIPO welcomes applications from all sectors – technology, fashion, healthcare, agriculture, design, and more – that leverage any form of intellectual property (copyrights, trademarks, patents, and geographical indications) to improve research outcomes and impact the lives of people worldwide.
What do the winners receive?
Global Recognition: Invitation to the Awards Ceremony during the WIPO Assembly in Geneva, July 2025.
Personalized Guidance: Tailored guidance to enhance IP strategies, pursue new business goals, and access funding opportunities. More than just an award, WIPO aims to empower pioneers to reach new heights.
