“We would like to inform you that due to the large number of applications submitted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) since the launch of the SME Fund for 2025 (February 3, 2025), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) notifies the interested public that, specifically for Voucher 3 (Patents) and Voucher 4 (Plant Varieties), the remaining available budget has led to a temporary closure of application submissions for these vouchers, effective today, Monday, February 10, 2025, at the end of the business day.
Vouchers 3 and 4 are expected to reopen if unused funds become available from unutilized vouchers within their designated timeframe, and this will continue until the available budget is exhausted.
The SME Fund platform remains open and continues to accept applications for Voucher 1 (IP Scan) and Voucher 2 (Trademarks and Industrial Designs).”
