Mykonos-Authenticity: The OBI Communication Event Successfully Completed in Mykonos.

The communication event within the framework of the Authenticities Program – Mykonos Authenticity was successfully held in Mykonos on June 8, a date that coincides with the establishment of the “World Anti-Counterfeiting Day.”

After the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation last July between the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) and the Municipality of the island of Mykonos, the two-year collaboration continues, and the island’s residents, as well as its visitors, working with the local authorities, are highlighting and certifying Mykonos as “authentic/authenticity.”

The event took place in the welcoming hall of the Mykonos Municipal Utility Enterprise for Environment, Education, and Development, with the attendance of the General Director of OBI, Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos, the Mayor of Mykonos, Mr. Konstantinos Koukas, Mr. Paolo Barbieri, Project Manager, European Cooperation Service Institutional and Cooperation Department (EUIPO), Mr. Spyridon Peristeris, Director of the Interservice Market Control Unit (DIMEA), Ministry of Development and Investments, Mr. Heracles Zisimopoulos as a representative of the Mykonos Town Businesses and Professionals Association, as well as local government officials, business representatives, and media members.

The coordination of the Kick-off Media Event was handled by Rania Zacharopoulou, Project Manager of the Authenticities Program in Greece.
