The bill titled “Ratification of the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement on the International Registration of Industrial Designs, which was approved in Geneva on July 2, 1999, and other provisions” was passed today (14.09.2023) by a majority vote in the Plenary of the Parliament. The bill was discussed yesterday in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade and was approved by a majority this morning.
The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) will immediately proceed with the preparation of the necessary presidential decrees (pursuant to Article 3 of the adopted bill).
With this Act, the process for filing international applications is modernized, and connections are created between the international system for registering industrial designs and models and the regional registration systems.
