Seminar “TRADEMARK PROTECTION ISSUES” in Ioannina – Friday, March 17 & Saturday, March 18, 2023
The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI), in collaboration with the Hellenic Industrial Property Academy (HIPA), successfully organised an informative seminar titled “TRADEMARK PROTECTION ISSUES.” The seminar began on Friday, March 17, 2023, and continued Saturday, at the Du Lac Congress Center & Spa Hotel in Ioannina.
The seminar was coordinated by Mrs. Ntotina Simitsi, Deputy General Director of OBI. On the first day, the following presentations were thoroughly discussed:
- National Trademark Application (G. Kefalogiannis, OBI)
- Absolute Grounds for Rejection (D. Yagtzidis, OBI)
- Trademark Availability Check – TMView (S. Saki, OBI)
- Examination of Admissibility and Grounds for Legal Remedies (oppositions, appeals, requests for revocation, and annulment requests) during the Trademark Committee session (Anastasios Rallis, State legal Advisor, President of the Trademark Committee)
- Procedural Law – Trademark Law (E. Chatzikos, President of First Instance Court)
On Saturday, March 18, 2023, attendees had the opportunity to participate in unique and specialized presentations and engage with all the invited speakers:
- Risk of Confusion and Trademark Infringement (I.E. Venieris, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Athens)
- Practical Advice for Filing an EU Trademark (B. Davilla, Lawyer, Stavroula Politi, Lawyer)
