From September 11 to 13, 2024, the High-Level Intellectual Property Conference is taking place in Beijing.
The conference is organised by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Chinese Intellectual Property Authority”, and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
It brings together heads of intellectual property authorities from countries involved in China’s “Belt and Road” initiative, as well as international and regional organisations, industry professionals, and researchers.
The regional cooperation, green development, digital transformation, and the contribution of intellectual property to sustainable development are key topics that will be discussed by the participants.
Today, the Director General of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI), Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos, delivered a speech at the conference on the role of Intellectual Property in promoting Green Innovation to address climate change and support Sustainable Development.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) will sign an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding that was first established between the two organisations in 2019. This extension will continue their cooperation in the areas of industrial property, initiatives for disseminating technological information from patents, and exchanging best practices.
