National Patents Awarded to Researchers of the University of Western Attica at the Event
“Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) are a catalyst for Sustainable Development. They practically connect academic research with entrepreneurship. This is the role of PlaTTO, the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Western Attica, which presented its one-year operational review and new prospects. Furthermore, funding will continue during the programming period of the ESPA 2021-2027.”
The statement by the Deputy Minister of Development Maximos Senetakis – Μάξιμος Σενετάκης, responsible for Research & Innovation at the Ministry of Development, is of strategic importance. It took place as part of an invitation from the Technology and Knowledge Transfer Office, PlaTTO, which was attended by leading representatives of the country’s research community!The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) was represented by Mr. Demetris Stafylas, Board Member of the Hellenic Industrial Property Academy (HIPA), Examiner at the Organisation. Also present were Mr. Dimitrios Vergados, President of HFRI, Mr. Evangelos Mpekiaris, Vice President of CERTH, former Member of NCRTI, Mr. Nikos Karampekios, Head of Innovation and Networking Unit at EKT, Mr. Konstantinos Vavekis, Director of PRAXI-GnΩsi Network, Mr. Yiannis Kotsis-Yiannarakis, Digital Innovation Coordinator at the National Infrastructure for Technology and Research Network (GRNET), and Mrs. Elissavet Pavlitsa, JOIST Innovation Park Products & Services Director.
The presence of all these distinguished guests inspired and empowered the academic community to continue its tireless efforts in contributing to the realization of the strategic vision for research and innovation, both for the University and the country.
