With an impressive performance and a new course and event record, the 40th Authentic Marathon of Athens concluded on Sunday, November 12, for the elite athletes. A total of 8 runners from the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI), as part of the “50 Years Team“, also participated in the event!
At the Kallimarmaro, the ancient stadium resonated with joy, health, and creativity, the General Director of OBI, Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos, honored the contribution and achievements of the top male athletes in the overall ranking, who triumphed in their goals.
The winners were:
- Edwin Kiprop Kiptoo from Kenya, with a time of 2 hours 10:34, setting a course record.
- Rhonzas Lokitam Kilimo, also from Kenya, with a time of 2 hours 12:28.
- Felicien Muhitra from Rwanda, with a time of 2 hours 12:36.
