As part of the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair, the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) is organising an informational event titled “Innovation Agency: Supporting Innovative Entrepreneurship” on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Monasty Autograph Hotel (Opus Hall) at 19:00.
The aim of the event is to introduce the Innovation Agency, a newly established service of the Organisation, and to foster collaboration between national innovation ecosystem stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to link Research and Innovation with economic development and the promotion of employment in emerging sectors with potential and high added value.
The event will be honored by the presence of the Minister of Development, Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, and the Deputy Minister of Development, Ms. Anna Mani Papadimitriou, who will also address the audience.
Following the implementation of new programmatic goals by the Ministry of Development, as part of the National Strategy for Research, Technological Development, and Innovation, in addition to the presentation of the new “Innovation Unit” of OBI, which will serve as the operational arm for supporting investments in Greece by securing research outcomes with industrial property titles, discussions will cover ways to strengthen startups, the new incentives available for investment in startups, as well as complementary tools available through NSRF for funding small and medium-sized enterprises.
The event is aimed at Research Institutes, Academic Institutions, startups, SMEs, and the business community, as well as individuals and organisations from the wider region, including journalists.
