PATENTS: A Source of Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI), the exclusive competent authority in Greece for the registration of patents, trademarks, and industrial designs, supervised by the Ministry of Development, continues to organize seminars as part of the implementation of the ESPA-funded Action titled “Organization of a Service to Support Startups and Small-Medium Enterprises in Patent Research and Protection.” A seminar will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, at 17:00 in Kalamata, at the PHARAE PALACE HOTEL.
The Organisation is innovating and developing a new Service aimed at supporting startups and small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in securing their patents.
The Kalamata event concludes the series of informational seminars held in Patras, Athens, Heraklion, Ioannina, and Thessaloniki. During the seminar, two emerging sectors will be presented, for which Patent Landscape Reports (PLRs) have been prepared as part of the Action:
- Biological Systems for Sustainable Food Production (Agriscience)
- Alternative Energy Forms from Marine Resources
Participation is free for interested attendees.
The Action is part of the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation 2014-2020“, under the decision of inclusion by the Special Secretary for the Management of NSRF Programs. It is co-funded by the European Union (European Social Fund) and national resources through the Public Investment Program.
